Ida’s love of language started with theater, when she worked as an actress in France for 7 years. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in French Literature and an acting school, she moved to Canada in 2015 and began teaching French in 2016, first as a volunteer, to help immigrants. She loved supporting people on their journey to integrate into their new country, and she flourished through her encounters with students from all over the world.

She has now been teaching French for 10 years in different schools (Commissions scolaires in Montréal, Collège Vanier, private tutoring..), to students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, mostly adult learners, and has gained experience at all levels. Because she understands how challenging a new language can feel, it is very important to her to make people feel comfortable and secure, and to guide them in building the confidence to express themselves in another language. She is sensitive to each individual’s needs and likes to adapt her teaching accordingly. For Ida, learning should take place in a fun and supportive environment.
